Pro from Hemp
Biodegradable
MADE FROM SUSTAINABLY GROWN FIBERS, Capable of being broken down (decomposed) rapidly by the action of microorganisms.
Fire Resistant
fire resistant (because of the binder) scientific control test showing that they are resistant to fire.
Vapur permeable
(regulates humidity) A permeable weather barrier keeps liquid water (rain) out of your walls while allowing water vapor to pass through them.
Non-Toxic
Hemp seed oil can be used to produce non–toxic diesel fuel, paint, varnish, detergent, ink and lubricating oil. Because hemp seeds account for up to half the weight of a mature hemp plant, hemp seed is a viable source for these products. Just as corn can be converted into clean-burning ethanol fuel, so can hemp.
Antimicrobial
Hemp using organic solvents exhibited very good antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, as reported by Borchardt et al. (2008). It was found that all of them showed potent activity against a variety of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains of current clinical relevance.
Energy efficient
high insulation capacity (both temperature and noise). Energy efficiency simply means using less energy to perform the same task – that is, eliminating energy waste.
CO2 Negative
CO2 negative (hempcrete removes more CO2 from the atmosphere than it generates)
Durable
This venerable fiber (Hemp) has always been valued for its strength and durability.
